Community Christian Church is a thoughtful, discerning, and searching congregation. We recognize the common values of faith that we share with one another. We all, regardless of who we are or where we have been, are welcome to the table of God. But we recognize that we make our path to God’s table in different ways and means. We represent a diversity of beliefs and theologies, finding unity in what we share and respect in where we differ. Being a member or friend of Community Christian Church requires a certain type of commitment. We believe that God expects us to donate our time, talent, and tithes to the church. We see such responsibilities not as obligations, but as a way to return to God the many gifts that we have been given. We strive to be authentic in the sense that we represent all of the goodness and all of the faults of humanity. Each Sunday morning, as we worship with one another, some will be rejoicing and some will be mourning. Some will be content, some will be restless. Some will have hope, some will yearn for something greater. But through it all we make the conscious choice to be real and create relationships with one another. We are not a perfect church. I am not a perfect pastor. But we are a community of faith that is committed to living out our vision statement to be unconditionally welcoming, courageously serving, and fearlessly growing in faith. We believe God has called us to a specific place for a specific purpose. And we are thankful for each and every person that helps make our church family complete.
